Scraggs...

Not looking so scraggly for a change.

Of course the little wispies aka baby hairs started springing forward as soon as picture taking time was over.

Hair spray or gel can only hold them back for so long.

Sigh..She's 7 now ya know. It's becoming painfully obvious that by the time I ever have another child again, her early childhood years will be over and it makes me sad that she had no constant companion.

New phone!

Well I did get a little bit of cheer on Friday just as I was about to leave the office.

My company switched out my old phone with the Blackberry Storm 2 and it's pretty sweet. When I got home, Hafez was looking over it and deemed his Iphone is still better. I can at least agree that the Iphone is a little more user friendly.

I still haven't figured the phone out yet and it will probably take me awhile, but I have the essentials down.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Turkey baby November fools...

Today is one of those days. Really it started last night.

We had a baby shower for a co-worker today, so last night I went out to buy some gifts. As I strolled through the aisles, I was reminded that I'm not buying something for my baby. I came home and I cried. It's been awhile really. I think I was just down because I've been charting this cycle and my chart was looking so good that I took a pregnancy test when I got home from work and it was negative. Basically my chart and my body lied to me and high temps can mean nothing. I should have known better. It was a high stress month anyways, and Hafez was pretty sick around ovulation. Poor thing. He was half comatose and I made him do it anyways. Apparently my desperation knows no bounds.

So we had the baby shower today and I drove to the restaurant in a car full of pregnant women. Ouch.

Needless to say I'm a little sensitive right now. It must be PMS.

On to another round of mission impossible...

Tights..

I thought I'd finally give colored tights a shot yesterday. I was at Walmart on Saturday picking up some things and I passed by their tight and sock section, noticing some navy blue tights and thought that since they were so cheap, it would be a perfect opportunity to try them and if I didn't like them-well I only wasted $5.

Now that we are in the fall season, it's the perfect time to stock up on tights. You can still wear all your favorite dresses and keep your legs toasty.

I'v had good luck with tights I've bought at Target, and Macy's. I also have a pair of black tights I bought from Walmart (George brand) a year ago that have proven to be durable.

I should have gone with a different shoe and yes I cropped my face because you really don't want to see the pimple smack dab on the tip of my nose that is competing with the sun for the center of the universe!

In fact, Santa Claus sent me an application so I could interview for Rudolph's position next month.

Grrr....

Some people have no shame. No shame what so ever!

My mom was robbed last night in SW Houston while she was standing outside a house waiting for a potential client to open the door with whom she had setup a meeting with. She knocked once and nobody answered. She was about to knock again when she heard the heavy footsteps of someone running. She turned around to the noise and faced two men. One got in front of her and the other went to her side. The one in front demanded for her purse and she said no. He then grabbed it, she held on, and he punched her! They then fled the scene and she heard a car door shut so they sped off somewhere-probably back to the hole they crawled out of. The police were called and a statement was given, but once a purse is stolen, it's gone. She lost her cards, phone, palm pilot, car keys, and paperwork. My dad met her up shortly after, but she doesn't have a spare car key and the tow truck driver had trouble getting the car on the bed because the car needed to be put in neutral, and she didn't have the key. Her and my dad finally made it to bed around 3am shaken I'm sure.

The fact that this happened to my mom makes me very angry. It makes me angry that it's happened to lot's of people, but more angry that it was my mom.

Sugar and spice and all things nice...

I looked at the pictures below and that phrase came to mind. Only I'm not always sugar and spice and all things nice. Lately I'm all I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll blow this house down...

Next week should be better. I started my new position this week and it's been so hectic with getting used to managing people again and wrapping up some things in my old position. Not to mention dealing with home life. What a week!

So here's the outfit of the day. How I love royal blue and black together. I don't remember where I got this dress. I think it's Papaya. I never paired black tights with it, and it really brought it together.

The cookies not to make...

Or maybe just not let too much vanilla fall in..

womp..womp.

On Sunday I thought it would be fun to bake chocolate chip cookies a la Betty Crocker with Scraggs. She donned her vintage apron and we got to baking.

The cast of characters as the Pioneer woman would say.

I'm so cute because my mommy cut my bangs and I'm pretending to look like I know what I'm doing.

One more for good measure.

Me doing what I do best - supervising.

The first batch is done!

Our eyes appreciated them, but unfortunately our taste buds did not.

The end.
